Byron M. Baker III
Gemini, Rabbit, Northwest Bleeding Liberal
I have spent most of my life (alright all of it) in Seattle. For me, Seattle is not only a geographical location but a state of mind. I am liberal by nature, support recycling and ban chemicals from my yard. Coffee runs through my veins. A good rain storm brings a smile to my face — unless it floods my basement — and the warmth of summer sun is not to be wasted by sitting inside.
{ free-time }
I used to really (and I mean really) enjoy sking and snowboarding, watersking and wakeboarding. Now those fall in line behind both my wife and son — I couldn’t be happier. We get out in the mountains an on the lake more than often then not and enjoy the time as a family.

{ work history – overview }
I earned a Bachelors of Fine Art with a concentration in photography and graphic design at the University of Washington. After working briefly as a photographer doing product and model / fashion shots I immersed myself in graphic design. But I still try to keep a camera in my pocket at all times — to document color, texture, or anything else that catches my eye. You never know when inspiration will strike.
I have experience in business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) in online, brick-and-mortar and click-and-mortar companies.
My favorite job title is “designer”. I’m comfortable working in a wide variety of media — whether for print, web, animation, video, photography, environmental or whatever comes next. I have worked as both designer and developer and more recently as a designer/developer.
I have a demonstrated track record of taking projects from conception to completion through creative, production and pre-press process steps — in print and on the web. I bring a creative outlook to problem solving and a hands-on approach to design and execution while driving to exceed project objectives.
{computers}
I own several Apple® machines but am fluent in applications running on Windows® and Apple platforms. Adobe® is my tool provider of choice. Whether it be Photoshop®, Illustrator®, InDesign®, GoLive® or Acrobat®, I consider myself an “advanced” user but am always ready to learn something new.
